1. Our Core Principles
Calm Wealth Journal is built with privacy as its foundation. We believe your financial data is yours alone.
On-Device Processing
All calculations, storage, and processing happen entirely on your device. Your portfolio data never leaves your phone or computer. There are no servers storing your financial information.
No Bank Connections
We deliberately chose manual entry over automated bank connections. This means no third-party services have access to your financial accounts. You maintain complete control.
2. Data We Collect
Usage Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve the stability and performance of the application.
- What we collect: App crash logs, performance metrics, and anonymous interaction data (e.g., screens visited, features used).
- What we do NOT collect: Any financial data, asset values, transaction history, or personally identifiable information from your journal.
- Purpose: To identify bugs, fix crashes, and understand which features are useful to our users.
- Apple ATT: We do NOT use Apple's IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers). We do NOT track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Payment Information
We use RevenueCat to process subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- What we collect: Anonymous user ID to track subscription status.
- What we do NOT collect: Credit card numbers or billing details (these are handled securely by Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
- Purpose: To manage your premium subscription access.
3. Your Rights & Control
Export: You can export your data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Manage Data.
Delete: You can permanently delete all your data from Settings → Privacy & Data → Manage Data.
Portability: Your exported data is in a standard format that you can use with other apps or keep as a backup.
4. Security Measures
Your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by your operating system.
If you enable passcode or biometric protection in Settings, your data is further protected by device-level encryption.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Since we don't collect any data, any changes will only strengthen your privacy, never weaken it.
